









Miriam Di Cola and Anelo1997 collaborate for the first time by integrating photography and sculpture in a hybrid in which each of the two arts cooperates while keeping its own peculiarities alive. Human body parts become fragments, intertwining with the iron structures of Anelo1997. Anelo’s forms move and reproduce themselves in space in deceptions of shadows, mark time, create coordinates within which the human body lives, manifests and transforms itself. The enclosures and stops, the transitions of these structures tell the story of human relationships and the traces they leave in memory. They are like signs that give shape to the thoughts that know how to travel through time and space. Miriam grafts fragments of bodies between the lines and space-time enclosures of Anelo. The bodies imprisoned in the meshes of the sculptures look for voids to appear, reveal an origin, await an end, showing exceptional details, alterations like focus of attention. All in a tension that is not only proper of the body but above all of the spirit: the inner conflict that arises from the relationship with the Other, but also from the constraints with which inexorable coordinates of time and space trap the spirit in human matter, in the physical body.
